Rollingwood Carnival

I would like to thank our PTA for making the Rollingwood Fall Carnival a great success.  The event was well attended and everyone had a great time.  We had carnival games, an inflatable slide, taco truck, 7-11 and Jamba Juice booths, a great snack bar, cake walk, music, face painting, many prizes, a demonstration from a great martial arts group, and most of all a great time with the families and community members from Rollingwood.

Families

Our students this year will be participating in a community building activity called "Families".  This is an activity where one student from each grade is a member of a group known as a "family".  These "families" work together on different projects that help them build understanding and good character while giving older students the opportunity to gain leadership skills.  We will have family activities most months with each activity focused on a good character or important cultural trait.  The first project is family members creating shields to display.  Here are some pictures from this first session.
